Do I need a broker account to try it?

No. RN TradeLab runs free on included sample data and on free real market data via Yahoo Finance - no account needed. Connect Upstox (NSE/BSE) or Alpaca (US stocks & Crypto) later for full-depth history and live signal scanning, whichever markets you actually trade.

Do I have to switch my broker?

No. RN TradeLab never places orders - a connected broker is used purely as a data feed. Many users open a free account (Upstox or Alpaca) only for data and keep trading wherever they already do.

Does the app trade automatically?

Never. It generates research and signals; every real trade is placed by you, in your own broker app. This is an educational research tool.

Windows says "Windows protected your PC" - is it safe?

That is Microsoft SmartScreen flagging a new, unsigned publisher - normal for small independent software. Click "More info" then "Run anyway". A code-signing certificate is planned as the user base grows.

Will my strategies or data leave my computer?

No. Your broker keys, data, strategies and results live in files next to the app on your PC. Nothing is uploaded.
